WHO WE ARE
Guidelines is a Christian ministry that began in 1963 in response to Harold
and Darlene Sala’s desire to spread the Good News of the Gospel. The ministry communicates the message of Jesus Christ in such a manner that men and women come to faith in the Lord and believers are discipled and strengthened.
Guidelines is a non-commercial and non-denominational organization that depends completely on God’s provision and is supported by tax-deductible contributions.
Guidelines is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.

Reaching people who need the Lord through radio, Internet and newsletters.
Harold Sala’s program “Guidelines—A Five-Minute Commentary on Living” is currently aired on more than 1000 stations around the world in over 15 languages.
The daily transcripts of the radio program are available by download on www.guidelines.org in audio and print in English and Spanish. Other monthly features include a ministry highlight, book resources and more. The online bookstore is available for convenient and secure ordering.
Worldwide subscribers can also receive the E-Commentaries (printed version of the radio program) from Monday to Friday, while the E-Newsletter (up-to-the-minute news on ministry) is sent monthly.
A quarterly newsletter is distributed in the US and Asia to provide an extensive report of current and future ministry around the world.

Harold and Darlene travel frequently to the Philippines, China, and Ukraine, to name a few, to train men and women for ministry all over the world. They are popular speakers to singles, couples, parents, pastors, men’s and women’s study groups, missionaries and business people. Some of their unique messages include Making Your Emotions Work for You, Winning Your Inner Struggles, Created for a Purpose and Confidence in the Bible.
Harold also enjoys preaching invitations some Sundays in the US and overseas.
The Salas have authored and published over 50 books in English, most of which have been translated to Spanish, Korean, Ukrainian, Chinese, Burmese, Russian, Indonesian, Yakutian and more. The books have been an encouragement and a wonderful source of spiritual growth.
DVDs and CDs also have been produced in English and distributed worldwide, often with sub-titles or voice-overs in other languages, for use as teaching tools.
Touching needy lives to reflect faith at work as Guidelines ministers to the lonely, sick, hurting and poor.
Medical-dental missions, prison outreach and support of orphanages are some of the opportunities provided in response to the desperate needs in countries such as the Philippines, Ukraine, Myanmar, Africa and Russia.
Missionary associates who are nationals are often supported for at least three years. Guidelines believes they are more effective in reaching the locals as they know the language and do not need a large amount of allowance for cost of living.
In addition, Guidelines staff respond one-on-one to countless letters and emails from people asking for Biblical counseling, encouragement, and prayer. Every person is prayed for individually.
